EQT Pittsburgh 3 Rivers Regatta: This August, you gotta go to Point State Park and help the city honor Pittsburgh’s renowned history, vibrant present, and exciting future. With music, boating, food, fireworks and family fun, the EQT Pittsburgh Three Rivers Regatta is where Pittsburghers come out to celebrate the city we call home and the waterfront we love and depend on. Market Square Farmers Market: Each Thursday, join 7,000 to 10,000 office workers, residents, and visitors at Market Square to enjoy local produce, gourmet treats, and the diverse restaurants and shops surrounding the Square. This season they are bringing the region’s cream of the crop to the heart of the city. More than 25 vendors will be showcased weekly along with free concerts at noon.

This outing will start with an easy introduction to SUP yoga and then will move onto the water as trip leaders guide you through a series of poses and other yoga principals. Pittsburgh Triathlon and Adventure Race: The 19th edition of Pittsburgh Triathlon is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, August 13 to 14. It will feature an adventure race, sprint triathlon, and an Olympic distance triathlon. Proceeds from the event benefit the work of Friends of the Riverfront in building and maintaining the Three Rivers Heritage Trail.

Fireworks Paddle: Venture Outdoors will take you on a leisurely paddle up the Allegheny River and float back down towards PNC Park in time for the fireworks show. Once the ballgame is over, it is time to sit back, relax and marvel at the fireworks. Feel all the BOOMS and POPS vibrating the water from your front-row seat. End time may run later if the baseball game goes into extra innings. Minimum age 8 years old with parent in tandem. Previous paddling experience required.

The Most Amazing Race: This citywide challenge race operates much like The Amazing Race. Teams of two will travel around Pittsburgh completing challenges and collecting clues to find their next challenge. Each team much raise at least $250 to race and all of the money raised benefits youth programs in Allegheny County. This race is hosted by the Salvation Army.

Beginners’ Paddle: You will start with instruction and practice, and then head onto the Allegheny River to see just how easy it is to paddle. Bedazzled by the gorgeous Pittsburgh skyline, you won’t even realize that you’re suddenly paddling like a pro! Equipment, guides and instruction are provided. Solo kayaks are highly recommended for this outing. The minimum age is 12.
