Sunday, December 2
Join hundreds of runners and walkers to fill the park and get the holiday season started. The start and finish will be inside Graham Park. Runners are encouraged to dress “festive”!
Escape the winter chill and test your endurance with an indoor triathlon at the Pitt Recreation Center. The race starts at 6am and includes a 600-meter swim, 5k run, and a 12-mile bike.
Tuesday, December 4
It’s the most wonderful time of the year. And that means it’s time to run through downtown Pittsburgh and see the lights. Come join us as we run through the city and see all the amazing holiday lights and sights.
Wednesday, December 5
Join us as we explore topics of health and wellness for young children and their caretakers.
Thursday, December 6
On this 7+ mile hike, we will visit the main light exhibits of Downtown Pittsburgh; and then hike up Sycamore Street to the top of Mount Washington for a panoramic view of the city. This fast-paced hike covers a relatively large area in a short period of time. It’s the perfect way to experience the holiday season!
Join Shannon Carnemolla of Yoga Factory Pgh at the The Candle Lab Pittsburgh for a night of true meditation. You will pour your own candle, then enjoy a Restore (Yin style) yoga class while you let the candle set. A great evening to wind down after a long week and great opportunity to put together a handmade holiday gif.
NAMI Keystone Pennsylvania’s second Green Light Gala for Mental Health Awareness will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2018, at Nova Place on Pittsburgh’s North Side from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. The Gala is a biennial statewide event that shines a light on the need for better mental health awareness, treatment, and resources. It also celebrates the progress that has been made, the life-changing advancements that are on the horizon, and the brave individuals who are telling their stories to pave the way for so many others.

The Arthritis Foundation’s original Jingle Bell Run is a fun way to get decked out and be festive, while racing to raise funds and awareness to cure America’s #1 cause of disability. Put on your favorite holiday costume. Tie jingle bells to your shoelaces. ’Tis the season to live it up and be jolly for a reason! Bring a team of friends, family and co-workers to run or walk, spread smiles and good cheer … and be a Champion of Yes! 100 percent of your registration fee and fundraising efforts go to this great cause.
The Fleet Feet Running Club is excited to introduce a new program that lets you decide between two different workouts in one convenient location. We will meet at the Schenley Oval at 7:30am on December 8th, and you can choose between a speed workout on the track, or explore the trails in the park. Two coaches will be on sight so no matter what level you’re at, someone will be there to guide you through the workout. This is a great opportunity to mix up your weekly runs and try something new! The workouts are free and all abilities are welcome.

The Geminids offer one of the most impressive meteor showers of the year; giving us the chance to see around 120 meteors per hour! We’ll be hiking right at its peak and will cover 3-4 miles during this night hike in Deer Lakes Park. We will take some time to turn off our flashlights and look up at the sky for signs of the meteor shower.
Bundle up and bring your family to the 8th Annual Holiday Lights Run and Charity Auction! This year’s Holiday Lights Run and Charity Auction will benefit the victims of the tragedy at the Tree of Life Synagogue. Enjoy the best lights in the city by running or walking the specially selected two, four, or six mile route. Some of the sites include the tree at Point State Park, the PPG Wintergarden, the Nativity at Steel Plaza and the Holiday Village in Market Square.

Join us for a 2-hour hike offering different vantage points of our City’s spectacular skyline. We’ll take in the city-scape while hiking at a moderate pace along sidewalks, up staircases and over bridges.
Saturday, December 15
Join us for a family friendly candy cane walk. We’ll search for candy canes hidden along the trail and afterward enjoy some delicious hot chocolate! We’ll use the candy canes we find to stir the hot chocolate and add a little extra flavor to this tasty treat.
Sunday, December 16
Join us in the taproom for a special Beer + Yoga: Winter Warmer! The craziness of the holidays can get the best of all of us – take some time for a little self-care and FUN and join Becca for this 90 minute special edition Beer + Yoga Class. Holiday sweaters are not required, but you are always encouraged to show up how you are; so if the holiday sweater party goes a little late Saturday night, feel free to show up still rocking that sweater Sunday morning.
